So, it has been one week since we have arrived back from our trip to DC. I wish I could go back to the care free hotel life there. It was pretty nice not having to be in dusty old Dallas for a while. It was a nice town. Vienna, VA. Clear, cool, skys; calm and courteous drivers; clean. We went to mall quite a few times. I was surprised to see a CVS and a Dairy Queen inside. What? In a mall? There was also a 7 eleven in the middle of a shopping center w/o a gas station hooked to it. Bizarre! Here is a list of where we went:

Smithsonian Museum of Natural History: Cool, I saw the bones of a Rhea bird.
Lincoln Memorial: He's a huge dude!
Washington Monument: The line was to long to get inside. We just walked past and got a glimpse.
The White House: Just a walk by.
The International Spy Museum: Awsome, the measure these people go through for their country; rectal tool kits? Shameful.

We ate at:

The Cheesecake factory: Surprisingly more that just cheesecake.
Clydes: Lots of fish and crab and sea stuff. Also an art gallery. A two for one.
The Reef: Alot of fish tanks but none to eat.

I had a good time and too much to drink. I drank every night. A first for me since my weddingmoons. There is so much to see, so we must go back another time to get some more.

So, it is 2pm and I have spent a couple of hours online trying to figure out where to go and how to get there from vienna, va to DC. I thought I could it would be easy to take the bus or the railway.

I was wrong!!!!!!!! It looks like anywhere we go we will have to take the bus and the railway and take two transfers during the trip.

It will take alot of waiting around for the next pick up and in all about 1:30 to 2hrs ride one way. Sucks. So much for that.

I guess Hubby will be my designated driver everyday as we will be driving where ever we go. Okay, that sounds selfish, I will be his one day. This trip will be tiring. But it will be good to get out of town for a few days. I have been feeling kinda, BLAH, about Dallas.

Yeah!!!
